Not your typical mother-child bonding activity, this is a unique hands-on workshop designed specially for mothers and their (soon-to-be) teen to navigate the transitions and years ahead. Be better equipped as a mum to your child and grow together!

"Successful mothers are not the ones that never struggled. They are the ones that never give up, despite the struggles."

Share your own experiences, hopes and dreams for your child and identify developmental milestones to be celebrated together.

A unique experience filled with food, laughter and deep connections is a great recipe for unforgettable moments.

You're crucial to creating a safe and loving home, understand how to handle your teen's developing emotions in a positive way.

Get ready for fun bonding activities including coaster-making and opportunities for meaningful and deep conversations!

Nothing compares to a mother's love.

When your child was a baby, you were their world. As their world continues to expand, it's easy to feel like you've lost your footing or importance in your teen's life. As they grow into young adults, how do you continue to show your love and guidance in a way that connects with them?

Saturday, 20 April 2019
Option 1: 10.00am – 1.00pm
 Option 2: 2.30pm – 5.30pm

  1. Who should go for Create with Mum?

Create with Mum is specially designed for mothers with a child between 11 and 14 years old.

  2. My child is outside the recommended age range (11-14 years). Can we still register?

We’re glad that you can’t wait to attend this event! However, this programme has been designed to address the needs of this specific age group. If your child is under 11, you may consider joining us when your child is older to enjoy the programme’s full benefits.

  3.  Can I bring more than 1 child for the event?

This event is designed for you to enjoy one-on-one bonding with your child. For the optimal experience, do make childcare arrangements for your other child(ren). Let them know that you will also arrange special one-on-one time with each of them.

  4. If I want to bring my other child(ren), can they wait somewhere at the event venue?

We’re maximising the space for our event, so there will be little space left for non-participants to wait around. He or she may feel left out or upset when they see you having fun with their sibling during the event.

  5. What is the programme like?

Expect fun bonding activities like hands-on coaster-making, where you get to practise working together as a team. There will also be ample opportunities for meaningful and deep conversations.

  1. Will food be served at the event? Is the food Halal?

The food served at this event is not Halal certified, but does not contain pork or lard.

  2. What is the fee for this event?

The usual fee for this event is $180 per mother-child pair.

  3. Is there a dress code?

The dress code is smart casual. Bermudas and slippers are discouraged.

  4. I have a prior appointment on that day. Can I come for part of the event?

As each component has been thoughtfully crafted to build an atmosphere for deep sharing and connection, missing part of the programme will affect your experience of Create with Mum.

We would encourage you to join another run instead. Contact us at projects@family.org.sg so we can send you more information for you to save the date!

  5. Refund Policy
    1. There will be no refund for any withdrawals made on or after 6 April 2019, or no-shows on event day.
    2. An administrative fee of $20 per person is chargeable for any withdrawals made before 6 April 2019.
    3. Focus on the Family Singapore reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event due to unforeseen circumstances. Every effort, however, will be made to inform participants as soon as possible of the change. For cancellation of events by Focus, fees will be refunded in full.

  6. Promo Codes for Discounts:
Please note that promo codes for discounts cannot be combined. Only one promo code can be applied

“My favourite part of Create with Mum was the letter-writing activity. The quality time we spent together was great, but what makes it even more special is that my son has a memento that he can hold on to, and maybe share with his children in future.”

– Lina Ng, mother of 14-year-old son

We are thankful for the many heartfelt conversations and memories created with Mum. Here are some stories:

“The hands-on activities, letter-writing, and opportunity to express our love for each other really helped to bring our relationship to the next level. We had an amazing time.”

– Kaylene Carter-Ong, mother of 12-year-old daughter

“Through Create with Mum, I learnt that my daughter does appreciate me, and that is something I will always treasure. I would highly encourage my friends to go and make full use of the opportunity to learn more about their son or daughter.”

– Suhaila Subtu, mother of 14-year-old daughter

Get ready for fun bonding activities including coaster-making and opportunities for meaningful and deep conversations!

Create with Mum 2019 is over! Thanks to everyone for participating, and we hope it was a wonderful day for every mum and child.
